-Queen Etheldredda was a static character as after all she goes through she remains as evil in the beginning as she does at the end shown by an attempt to kill Jenna, the princess -Queen Etheldredda is an antagonist as she is constantly conflicting with the hero of the novel Septimus Heap - "The queen has a sharp and pointy nose and wears her hair coiled around her ears like a pair of earmuffs." - Page 4 - The author hints at Etheldredda's awful ruling as queen by writing " The title of the chapter was Queen Etheldredda the Awful"- Page 39
Septimus Heap
- Septimus is a dynamic character because his experiences with the Master Physikician Marcellus Pye makes him a master in Physiks at the end of the story -He is the protagonist of Physik as he is the hero who foils the plot of Queen Etheldredda the main antagonist of the story -"Septimus had a startled look in his brilliant green eyes and his curly, straw-colored hair was tangled"- Page 41 - The author shows Septimus's anxiety in saying " Septimus did not sleep well. Every night for a week he had had the same bad dream about the exam, and this night was no exception." - Page 43
